Waterscapes of Value
Value creation through climate adaptation in everyday landscapes

What are we to do with the large amounts of water that result from increased precipitation? Architect Katrina Wiberg will offer several possible answers to this question when she defends her PhD thesis Waterscapes of Value – Value creation through climate adaptation in everyday landscapes on 22 June.

Climate changes, changes in the cycle of water and increased urbanisation all challenge the way we live. Climate adaptation requires us to make room for the water in both new and existing urban areas. This questions the manner in which we currently plan, develop and design our cities.

Based on three specific studies in Aarhus Municipality the PhD project considers climate adaptation as a resource and a potential for value creation (added value/multiple benefins).

Everyone is welcome!
